Meet Hanshi Rande Lawrence
Head instructor at Lawrence World Class Karate, teaching authentic karate in Fayetteville for more than 30 years.

A black belt is a white belt that never gave up. Our students are taught that their most important strength is their inner strength, and when combined with courtesy and respect, anything is possible.
Hanshi (Master) Rande Lawrence has taught authentic karate to Central New Yorkers for more than 30 years. Every student at his Fayetteville dojo practices both traditional Japanese Shotokan and Okinawan Gōjū-ryū karate, and learns the philosophy behind each kata as well as the technique. Families describe him as patient and kind, and equally at home teaching young children, adults, and students with disabilities. Under his instruction, students have earned black belts, won medals at AAU national championships and the Junior Olympics, and raised money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the dojo's Break-a-Thon.
